When we say 1980 most of us think of synthesisers and Magnum P.I. But Guild were still making great guitars through this decade and here is a monster of a 12 string, the
F-212XL. The jumbo body design means you're in for a loud afternoon, even if you're playing it in the morning. There are some pretty long finish cracks in the top, but fear not, it's just the gloss finish and not all the way through the wood. The chunky mahogany neck is a handful but that's par for the course with a 12 string. The frets are clean and the guitar has had a professional luthier set up so it's ready to chime.
