It's 1969 okaaaaaay! I don't think Iggy was singing about this guitar but he perhaps should have been. Pots look to have been replaced. Some discolouration on the lower bout in line with arm wear and the same wear can be seen on the back of the guitar too. Binding repaid around neck heel. The hallowed orange Gibson label has been partially ripped away (sad face). The two original chrome cover humbuckers are sounding devastatingly good and the neck is like holding hands with an angel. The first digit in the serial can't be made out but the remaining digits check out to be a 1969 build. 

Walnut is in people, don't let anyone tell you different.
