For your consideration we have a beautiful and historically important Martin D-18 made in 1946. This guitar has one hell of a story attached to it and has the imprint of country music greatness indelible marked on it. The guitar was purchased new in 1946 by Roy 'Whitey' Grant, a musician from North Carolina. 'Whitey' as he was known, made up one half of the duo Whitey & Hogan before joining North Carolina WBT Radio station house band, The Briarhoppers. Whitey owned and toured the world many times with the guitar until he passed in 2010.

Gruhn Guitars acquired this guitar for repair and maintenance where it had a neck reset, new bridge made, noted as "In fine playable condition"

The guitar shows all the hallmarks of a vintage work horse but remains in sturdy condition.
