The H13 is a 13-fret small jumbo that offers the warmth and balance of a shorter scale combined with the power of a larger body. This unique combination creates an instrument with exceptional voice and character. This H13 is topped with Adirondack spruce and finished in a "teardrop sunburst" which is a sight unto itself, but the star of the show has to be the unprecedented quilting of the 500 year old Honduran mahogany used on the back and sides.
'The Tree' as Santa Cruz call it was felled deep in the Chiquibul forrest in 1965 and lay dormant at the bottom of a ravine for over a decade until it was dragged in sections back to civilisation. An ultimate rarity with an estimated 100 to 200 tonewood sets remaining in the world. Completed Tree guitars by top builders routinely sell in the US $15,000 to 40,000 range, and they rarely stay on the market long. Once the remaining sets are built, The Tree is gone.
Perfect for players who want the intimacy of a smaller guitar with the projection and bass response of a jumbo, the H13 delivers remarkable versatility across all playing styles.
