At Studio 1 you can trade in your guitar, or we can sell it for you on consignment. We will consider any quality acoustic or electric guitar in good condition.

If you see a guitar at Studio 1 that you like, and you have a guitar that you want to trade in, we might be able to come to an arrangement.

Here's how our guitar trade ins work:

1. We inspect your guitar and determine a trade-in value for it. The owner of the guitar fills in and signs a brief trade in agreement that outlines the deal.

2. The trade-in value is deducted from the price of the guitar you are wishing to purchase and you pay the balance.

3. Deal done. 

If you have a guitar that you would like to sell, we can sell it on your behalf (consignment) and take a portion of the sale price.

Here’s how our consignment deal works:

1. We inspect your guitar and determine an appropriate market value for it. The owner of the guitar fills in and signs a brief consignment agreement that outlines our obligations, the agreed market value and any other stipulations regarding the sale.

2. The guitar is left with Studio 1 and we photograph, video and promote your guitar across all our channels and in store at the market value.

3. When your guitar sells, we retain 20% of the sale price, and rest is forwarded to you!

4. You can take back your guitar at any time, we just ask you to pay a $200 admin fee.

So, bring your guitar into us at Victoria Park Market or send us an email with photos and a brief description of your guitar if you would like to discuss.

If you would like to try one of our guitars, you can pay for it and we will ship it to you. When you receive it : take some time to see if it works for you. If not, and within 7 days, you can let us know and we will provide a fulI refund (less shipping) after an inspection for quality control.
