Here's an absolute stunner from the Martin Authentic Series. This isn't just your garden variety D-28, it's a meticulous recreation of one from the mythical year of 19 and 37. A golden era for Martin guitars. This beasty has all the period correct specs including hide glue construction, forward shifted hand scalloped bracing, 1 3/4" nut width and a solid Adirondack spruce top trimmed with herringbone. This top has been treaded with the Martin VTS mojo which pre-ages the wood to give you vintage tone in spades. Back in ye olde days Martin would have used Brazilian rosewood on the back and sides but for this one they've opted for Guatemalan rosewood.

This guitar in question features some tasteful mild relicing, with the saddle, bridge pins and the nickel Waverly tuners all getting that aged look.
