Most orders ship within 1–3 business days.
Custom-selected freight for high-value guitars may take additional time due to specialised packing requirements.
We use trusted couriers experienced with fragile goods.
Where possible, tracking will be provided.
High-value instruments may be:
• shipped in hard cases
• double-boxed
• packed with additional internal protection
• insured to the extent allowed by the carrier and our internal policies
International buyers are responsible for their local import duties and taxes.
Studio 1 ships all high-value instruments under a comprehensive insurance policy that covers loss or damage in transit to the extent of the policy terms and limits.
Risk of loss transfers to the customer upon delivery, not dispatch, except where the customer arranges their own courier.
If an item is lost or damaged while in transit using a Studio-1-arranged courier, we will assist in making a claim under our marine cargo policy. Successful claims will be paid out based on the insurer’s assessed liability and the applicable policy limits.
Important notes:
• Marine cargo insurance covers loss or damage during transit only, and may exclude improper packaging, humidity, temperature exposure, or unauthorised repacking once the item is received.
• If a customer opts to use their own courier or freight agent, Studio 1’s insurance does not apply, and risk transfers when the item is collected by that carrier.
• Studio 1 is not liable for delays caused by carriers, customs, border controls, or other external factors.
• All claims are subject to the conditions, exclusions, and valuation clauses of the marine cargo policy.
Customers must inspect items promptly on arrival and notify Studio 1 of any transit damage within 48 hours so that a claim may be raised with the insurer.
Customers must notify us within 48 hours of delivery if damage is discovered.
Photos of packaging and the instrument are required.
Where the 7-Day Approval Period applies:
• Return shipping is paid by the customer
• Items must be packed securely and fully insured
• Lost/uninsured return shipments are the customer’s responsibility
Local pickup is available from Victoria Park Market by arrangement.
ID may be required for collection.
If a parcel is lost:
• We will open an investigation with the carrier
• Resolutions follow the carrier’s loss protocols
• Refunds or replacements depend on carrier liability and insurance limits
