For your consideration we have a Taylor Custom Shop Grand Symphony (GS), dated 2015. The GS shape is slightly bigger than your garden variety Grand Auditorium shape, giving it more volume overall with deeper basses and thicker trebles.

The beautiful premium Adirondack Spruce top has a tight grain and some subtly bear clawing between the sound hole and saddle which gives it an individual look. The paua shell rosette is light catching feature and is perfectly centred within the delicate pin stripe work. Another stand out element has to be the Hawaiian Koa bevel on the lower bout. The depth of the grain can't be captured in photos; it almost seems to shape shift under the light and as the binding continues on around the whole body it visually bridges the gap between the lighter spruce and the Indian rosewood sides. Turning the guitar over you'll find a perfectly book matched Indian rosewood back and again, our dear old friend, Hawaiian Koa features down the centre in a wedge pattern. 

Koa is again used for the neck binding which frames an ebony fingerboard and intricate paua fret dots. The neck profile is listed as a standard carve and the nut width is 1 3/4". The neck shows sign of play with the gloss finish
