Here we have a rare instrument from 1926. Pronounced "tee-play", the Tiple is a South American steel string instrument that is tuned like a ukulele (G-C-E-A) with ten strings. The G's are octaves, the C's and E's are triple strung with one low and two high strings and the A's are in unison. With it's solid spruce top and solid mahogany back and sides this T-18 is a loud vibrant vintage instrument, ripe for any stringed instrument collector. All original, showing signs of a bridge repair and in stable condition. Comes with a violin case that it fits well.
