Concert ukuleles

Add two inches of scale to a soprano and you have the concert: around fifteen inches, with a slightly deeper body. The frets move far enough apart to stop feeling cramped, the midrange fills out, and notes hold a fraction longer. It keeps the ukulele character and gives you room to work.

This is the size we point most adult beginners towards, and the size most players keep even after they own others. The range here runs from the practical Kala Satin Mahogany, through all-solid models from Kala and Flight, to Martin's C1K in solid Hawaiian koa.
