A good player's example of a mid-1960's C.F. Martin D-28 Dreadnought

This D-28 was built in the period when the Martin company had experienced years of tremendous growth due to the popularity of Martin instruments during the contemporary folk revival. The company responded by ramping up as much as possible, including moving into a huge new factory in 1964. Still Martins were essentially hand-built instruments by modern standards, and indisputable the finest flat-tops available.

Nicks #2 pick out of latest shipment of D28s. This guitar has been played exceptionally well but it’s former owner Stephen Altman Jnr. With little wear and tear on the instrument, it has been well cared for. Great overtones from the sitka top and the brazilian is exceptional. Very good condition overall, not too much playware, two slight dings in the top, neck reset in the past, bit of residue glue left behind.
