ovation-bass
Circa 1978 Ovation Magnum II Bass

Here on consignment is an Ovation Magnum II bass guitar from the late '70s. Ovation always marched to the beat of their own drum, even when they were making basses. The shape of the Magnum II is evidence of that, along with the aluminium thumb rest, adjustable saddles, string mute and onboard three band graphic EQ. There are tones a plenty and it's such a smooth playing instrument. Fairly rare and this one is is near great condition. There's only a few small dings on the body and some tarnishing on the aluminium. The rubber on the mute is the original and it comes with it's original brown Ovation hardcase in excellent condition.

SERIAL NUMBER: B01548
BODY: Honduran Mahogany
COLOUR: Sunburst
FINISH: Gloss
NECK: Mahogany/Carbon Graphite
NECK SHAPE: C
SCALE LENGTH: 34"
FINGERBOARD RADIUS: 9.5"
FRETS: 20
NUT: Bone
NUT WIDTH: 1.645"
HEADSTOCK SHAPE: Ovation
NECK PLATE: Four Bolt
NECK FINISH: Gloss
FINGERBOARD: Ebony
POSITION INLAYS: Dots
BRIDGE PICKUP: Humbucker
MIDDLE PICKUP: N/A
NECK PICKUP: Single Coil
CONTROLS: Vol/Three Band EQ
BRIDGE: Adjustable Brass Saddles
TUNERS: Ovation Open Gear
CONTROL KNOBS: Black
WEIGHT: 4.83 kg or 10.64 lbs
